Today on dated 29/8/2022, Reasi forest division under the supervision of CF west Rajouri Sh. Vivek Verma IFS and DFO Reasi Jyotsana IFS organised plantation rally for creating awareness and ensuring atleast one plant in each house.
The rally was attended by the officers of katra administration SDM katra Sh.Angrez Singh ,District Officer PCB Sh. Angrez Singh ,SP katra Sh.Amit bhasin ,DDC Panthal Sh Rajinder mengi , DDC katra Smt. Nirmla Devi and PRI members and school students of Govt. middle School kunddrodrian, Girls High School Katra and Boys Middle School Katra.
While passing through the market and Residential area, plants were distributed in shops and planted in the adjoining houses and people were made aware about the importance of trees and forests using the traditional music on drums. it is an effort of forest department to bring back people residing in town towards plants and promote plantation and make Reasi district a green district.
